In The Soil Presents... Sage Scripts and Serendipity
Recently, I have become more aware of the privilege of my life circumstances. I want to channel this wherewithal to help inspire compassionate change, if only a little, using the intuitive arts. Creativity and connection is essential to each of us, if their small, often suppressed, glowing embers ignite, we will have a wildfire of possibility before us. This needs to happen in this transitional world - slow, steady and spiritually. This is my artist’s playbook; it is where I thrive by slipping into the truth with the sleekness of quicksilver and humour...wanting only to disarm and open the conversation.
This intuitive installation is a moment, a breath, where intrigued wanderers will explore an intuitive message using Bibliomancy from a varied choice of texts, cards or guidance tools available patio-side. These messages or the stories they evoke may need some support and interpretation; if so, this is where my Mercurial creative skills manifest and find meaning. The essence of this piece is to” find what you need and just be.” I want to do this because I feel in the time of Covid, many have become disconnected from their intuitive senses. We have become lost from ourselves and one another; we need to listen to, and remember, our spirit’s wishes.
Who am I? I am a weird, wise woman. I love how life can be such a crazy, creative menagerie, and I am so happy to be in its cast of mad characters. In 2019, I performed my own one woman show: The Merry Musings of a Mediocre Madwoman at the Hamilton Fringe Festival. I identify as a writer, an 11 year commuter, a teacher of challengers, a lover, a humourist mother, a quiet leader, and an amateur astrologer. I want to help invigorate the world. I see myself as incognito; but, someday, somehow, I will change something, and it will be big.
